Client:
Phantom is at the forefront of bringing Web3 to the masses, bridging the gap betweenseasoned users and those new to the ecosystem. Having established the core Phantom brand, the next phase focused on Phantom Cash, a fiat-pegged money account built directly intothe Phantom app, aimed at expanding the brand from a crypto-native audience to a broaderconsumer finance audience. The brief called for something more expressive than the corebrand, with a bolder, more declarative typographic approach and an expanded illustration language.
The work:
I worked on Phantom’s web experience, designing new pages while using the existing component library and helping expand the design system with reusable components and patterns.
The challenges:
The main challenge was working with a limited set of existing basic components while creating new pages. I had to decide how to combine, adapt, and extend these components to create new layouts and content types while keeping the experience consistent.
Another key challenge was rebuilding the design library from the ground up. I defined the foundations, including tokens, components, and patterns, and established how they should work together. The goal was to create a flexible system that could support the existing website while making it easier to build and scale future pages.
